Hungry For Holiness Men's Fellowship

PROvision

Lamentations 1:11 - All her people groan as they search for bread; they barter their treasures for food to keep themselves alive. Look, O LORD, and consider, for I am despised.

In our lives we so often feel unappreciated. We go to school, attend training classes, and perform our daily tasks all in an effort to get employment to satisfy our families and our own needs. Many times we know, just know, that we are underpaid, or underappreciated. Anyone who has worked on a salaried position knows that 40 hours of pay never comes with 40 hours of work! And so we struggle, we strive to find that one job or one position that will give us what we need to survive, and pay for what we have invested through time and effort. We barter our treasures for food to keep ourselves alive.

How much more often do we see the same thing in the spirit realm? We can't go to bible study tonight, got a big exam tomorrow. We have to get up early to be in work for that big shipment, that big contract is due. We can't go to Sunday nite service, we can't go to revival, or street meeting, or whatever because of our physical needs. How could we survive? The answer is found in Matthew 15: 32 -39....You know the story....the fishes and loaves. It wasn't just about feeding those who showed up, it was about GOD SUPPLYING OUR PHYSICAL NEEDS SO THAT WE COULD ATTEND TO THE SPIRIT!

We barter our treasures (the word, the spirit, the church service, the singing, the fellowship with like precious faith) all for bread to keep us alive! ALL THE WHILE GOD HAS MADE PROVISION! Give God his dues FIRST...seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these THINGS will be added unto you! Let God know you need HIS food, and he will provide YOUR food! HAVE FAITH! Trust that your little, momentary sacrifice on his behalf will reap benefits in THIS life as well as the next. FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS YOU HAVE NEED OF THESE THINGS! Trust him my friend....sacrifice for him this week, above and beyond. You do it every week for your employer....try it for HIM, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Be encouraged,
In Love,
