Feeling SMALL?

SMALL....–adjective 1. of limited size; of comparatively restricted dimensions; not big; little: a small box.

My friends, have you ever felt small? Ever felt like you weren't big enough: that if only you were mentally or physically stronger, if only you had been more capable, then your capacity to face the challenges in yours or your family's lives would have been sufficient! Many times we face situations in our lives that seem just totally overwhelming. Natural or not, these events or attitudes or situations threaten to crush our spirits beneath a wave of relentless torment and attack, and cause us to feel like we are small, weak and there is nothing we can do.

Our lack of faith and fear put God into a small box, limiting his ability to helpl us in these situations, and locks out our vision of who He really is. And do you want to know a secret? Sometimes there IS nothing we can do in ourselves, by ourselves, or through our own power. But, I want to share another secret with you; one that has been available to us from the beginning of time:

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

You will not face a situation that you cannot get through. You will not be left alone, nor will you have to call on a God smaller than that which you struggle with. God is our creator, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end! With him there is no failing! Yes, it will seem that some circumstances do not go as we would like. Yes there are still natural disasters, disease, war and famine. But those are NATURAL processes and you are a SPIRITUAL being. Try to remember that your goal in this life is to fellowship with your creator and to meet him in the sky! Set your sights on things eternal and these material challenges will no longer hold you down and make you feel small. GOD IS BIGGER THAN THEM ALL.

Be encouraged friend! You are not alone, and God is still on the throne! Have a blessed week and try not to look at the problem and feel small, try to look at the solution and feel saved!

IN LOVE,

Elder Mark and Sister Dana
