-AND-
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. JOHN 16:32
Friends we very often FEEL alone in our walk WITH God. Which is funny when you think about it, yet quite challenging if we are honest with ourselves. We know God is always with us, particularly when He is IN us via the infilling of the Holy Ghost. It's easy to write "You are never alone", but it means little when the computer is off and you find yourself isolated again. So we will skip that and focus on the work of the Lord in your life. We want to urge you to remember that when the phone doesn't ring, and the heart sinks in lonliness it is actually the BEST time to get close to God and revitalize yourself and the walk that God wants you to experience.
"...MUCH MORE IN MY ABSENCE" writes Paul, urging you to remember that a one-on-one relationship with God is best and most needed in the darkest and most lonely times. Your relationship is clarified and revealed in the isolation of trials. Jesus prayed in Gethsemane and emerged more resolved to fulfill his Father's will. David prayed and wrote many Psalms in a cave when he was fleeing Absalom, yet he too emerged STRONG and in the power of God. Don't fear the isolation, or lonley moments; USE THEM! Push yourself to realize that God is trying to get your full attention and work out a PERSONAL relationship with you, his prime creation! JESUS LOVES YOU. He loves to have time to reveal his power and faithfulness and in the quiet moments of lonliness HE can rise in your conciousness and be the GOD you long to experience.
"AND YET I AM NOT ALONE, BECAUSE THE FATHER IS WITH ME." How much closer can a living God get than INSIDE YOU? How much closer can you get than SURROUNDED by his spirit? When you allow yourself to be made one with him, you will never be alone and when you are concious of this fact your lonely moments will transition into TEACHING MOMENTS and fellowship moments with your God and Father, Jesus Christ! Be blessed in the knowledge that sometimes God NEEDS the lonely moments of your life to help you work out your own salvation.
In Love,
