I beseech thee therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present yourselves a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service; and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
When a leopard is taken out of the jungle and placed into a zoo, and remains there for years, even breeds in captivity, there is an air about him that causes some folks to think he is tame, or different than his wild cousins. That somehow human interaction has changed their genetic code and reversed centuries of natural instinct. But, you and I both know that the leopard is still what it was in the wild...a PREDATOR. It has been TRANSPORTED, NOT TRANSFORMED.
You can take a man out of his barroom, take him out of the brothel, take him out of the drugs, but you without God can do NOTHING to transform him! You can clean him up, teach him 12 steps to sobriety, monitor his behavior, and even see him become successful, but the underlying fact is that his NATURE is still carnal. He has only been transported to another place in life. And without God he is still a PREDATOR. He still hunts in his spirit for that carnal pleasure, he still gets overwhelmed by temptations, he still faces daily weakness without support in his soul. The same is true with saints who can't take their pastors meat. They move from church to church, bouncing from one spirit to the next, never satisfied with the food provided.
WE MUST BE MORE THAN TRANSPORTED SAINTS, WE MUST BE TRANSFORMED! Changed from the carnal nature to supernatural! Risen from the decay of flesh to the renewal of spirit. From Predator to Prayer warrior, from carnal desire to Godly victory! Pray over the thing that is plaguing your spirit right now. Commit it to God and let not your good be evil spoken of. HOLD TO HIM and conform to his ways, and you CAN CHANGE YOUR SPOTS!
Just food for thought.
IN Love,
